Nice ’n Spicy Madras Beef Curry – 25g

Fiery, aromatic and packed with warming spice, Nice ’n Spicy Madras Beef Curry is designed for creating a rich, full-flavoured beef curry at home. Inspired by the Madras style of curry from southern India, the carefully layered spice blend is cooked in stages with garlic, ginger, tomato and coconut milk for plenty of depth and heat. One pack makes a generous curry serving around 4–6 people.

Ingredients: Spices and herbs, salt, WHEAT (GLUTEN).

Allergens: Contains WHEAT (GLUTEN) and MUSTARD (SEED).

How to prepare: Designed for 1kg cubed chuck or blade steak. Blend the chilli and specified spice layers with 6 cloves of garlic, fresh ginger and a little coconut milk to form a paste. Fry 2 chopped onions and optional curry leaves in ghee or cooking oil until lightly browned. Add the spice paste and cook gently for around 15 minutes, adding a little water to keep moist. Add the beef and sauté for 5 minutes, followed by 115g tomato paste. Add 1 cup warm beef stock, season to taste and cook covered until the meat is tender. Stir in the remaining coconut milk and bottom spice layer, then simmer for a further 5 minutes.

Serving suggestion: Garnish with fresh coriander and serve with rice and a fresh onion, tomato and cucumber salad.

Storage: Store at ambient conditions in a cool, dry environment out of direct sunlight.
