For those who like their peri-peri with some serious fire, Calisto’s X-Hot Peri-Peri Sauce turns the heat right up while keeping plenty of that classic garlicky, savoury flavour. Made with bird’s eye chilli, garlic, paprika and vinegar, it’s brilliant for firing up braai chicken, steak, prawns and wings, or adding a few drops to burgers, pizza, eggs and marinades. Calisto’s rates it 04 Extra Hot, the hottest level in its classic range.

Ingredients: Water, vinegar, garlic, salt, vegetable oil (sunflower seed), irradiated spices [bird’s eye chilli (4%), paprika], herbs, modified starch (E405), stabiliser (E415), antioxidant [ascorbic acid (E300)], rosemary extract (E392).
