Rich, juicy and full of flavour, it has the distinctive texture and savoury taste that makes boerewors such an essential part of every South African braai. Its thicker casing is ideal for slow, even cooking over the coals, allowing the outside to caramelise beautifully while keeping the centre succulent.

Braai Master’s Tip 🇿🇦
Boerewors should be cooked patiently over medium-hot coals. Keep the coil whole, turn it carefully and resist the temptation to pierce it—the natural juices are what make traditional boerewors so delicious.
